BC Hydro's Online Moving Services
REALTORS® can now inform their clients of an easy new way to start, stop or move their BC Hydro services online.
The complicated side of updating BC Hydro account information can now be looked after by BC Hydro, leaving the public to only follow a few simple steps. There are three options for moving services:
- New residential or existing customers requiring an additional account (click here).
- Current residential customers that wish to stop their service (click here).
- Existing residential customers moving to a new address (follow steps below).
To move services online, the following is required:
- the new address and phone number,
- the landlord's name and phone number (if renting), and
- the payment of the $12.40 + HST charge to set up service at a new location (the fee will appear on the first bill).
